Frequently Asked Questions
What is the return policy?
Bitol Coffee will refund the full cost of your order if the beans or packaging arrive at their destination with obvious damage or defects.
When was the coffee roasted?
Our beans are roasted weekly by third-generation master artisans, so your coffee, considering delivery time, will reach you no more than 15 days after roasting.
What suggestions do you make for its preparation?
Most importantly, adjust the grind to your chosen method (Fine/Medium for Aeropress, Fine for Espresso/Moka, Medium for V60/Chemex, Coarse for French Press).
Calculate a coffee-water ratio of 60 grams per liter ideally or between 17 and 20 grams per cup. •
Filtered water at a temperature between 92 and 96 degrees.
Measure quantities with a scale for perfect repetitions.
What preparation method do you recommend?
After many tests using different methods, we can say that the Aeropress brings out the best in our coffee. As a second option, we recommend the French press. Another option would be the Chemex method (dripping) and/or the V60, which requires more time and patience. It's worth remembering that everything depends on the grind you choose and your personal taste.
DO YOU HAVE MORE SPECIALTIES?
We're currently preparing our second Bitol Orígenes collection, which will include a Cuba Turquino to start. We'll also be launching an exclusive collection of four Guatemalan specialties. You can find out about more new releases and offers here.
Is the coffee organic?
Our coffee is grown and processed under environmentally friendly regulations and certifications of origin that also guarantee a positive and enriching social impact for the communities that grow it.
